Thank you for stopping by my new (old) website. In 2017, fresh off of finishing my first middle grade manuscript, I thought I would start blogging as “Powers of Words” to establish some sort of author platform. I posted a few blogs, but soon my life as a blogger ended. I’m sad that I stopped (I plan to try to start again), but the reason I stopped was the opportunity to collaborate with Luke Comer and research and write On the Origin of Being. This project took over my life for 3 years. And by 2020, I’d finished another book! Then the world changed (I wonder why?), and this book was put on the back burner.

In late 2022, Luke contacted me again and asked if I’d be on board to hybrid publish our book. The answer was a resounding, “YES!” So the last year has been spent getting our scientific/self-help book ready to publish with River Grove, a part of Green Leaf Book Group. The experience has been hard but wonderful! Hard because writing is inherently hard, but wonderful because of all the great people I’ve gotten to work with and all I have learned. I can’t wait for our book to be out in the world. Coming June 24, 2024!
