Welcome to Powers of Words!

Thank you for stopping by my new (old) website. In 2017, fresh off of finishing my first middle grade manuscript, I thought I would start blogging as “Powers of Words” to establish some an author platform. I posted a few blogs, but soon my life as a blogger ended as life got busy. The reason I stopped was the opportunity to collaborate with Luke Comer to research and write On the Origin of Being. This project took over my life for 3 years. And by 2020, I’d finished another book! Then the world changed (I wonder why?) and this book was put on the back burner.

In late 2022, Luke contacted me again and asked if I’d be on board to hybrid publish our book. The answer was a resounding, “YES!” So 2023 was spent getting our scientific/self-help book ready to publish with River Grove, a part of Greenleaf Book Group. The experience has been hard but wonderful! Hard because…writing, but wonderful because of all the great people I’ve met and worked with. I learned so much.

Our book came into the world in Summer 2024!
